Hello and Happy Spring to you! The horse rescue is busy. There are 2 horses that need immediate homes. The first is an older gentleman. He's a bay quarter horse. I don't have a pic of him right now, but he needs your help. Please spread the word that he needs a home asap. He needs to be out of the home he's in now and into a pasture where he can move about and graze. And have people brush and care for him. He's not at my rescue, but a friend has asked me to re-home him. Call me at 916-807-2060 if interested. Thanks

The other horse is a very LARGE quarter horse of 10 years old, with lots of spunk and speed. His name is Timber. Timber has won the Red Bluff Round Up Cowgirl race 3 years in a row when he was younger. He really likes to go and is pretty to look at cuz he's so big. Not for a beginning rider. Contact me if interested.

One more on the list for a new home. My favorite, my beautiful Unicorn named Mallie's Egypt. She's a registered white arabian mare. Yes a grey, but she is all white with no flea bitten spots... No, this does not mean horses have fleas.... hahaha. She's so pretty and so sweet. She needs some tlc, and refresher training. Please let me know if interested. Her adoption fee is $500 and she is at the rescue. Thank you.

On another note, there is still lots of work and fixing and building that needs to happen at the horse rescue. We are in need of new skylights for the barn roof, t-posts for a new hotwire fence to keep the horses on the property and not pushing down the front fence to the property to get grass. We need a solar panel hot box, and some volunteer man power... There is lots of debri that needs to be removed from the ranch that came with the ranch when I moved onto the property. It's been a while since I've posted an update. That doesn't mean that I haven't been busy with the horses. They are all doing good. Some have blankets and some don't. Some need blankets and some don't. The rescue currently needs help with donations for hay, alfalfa, Elk Grove milling company stable mix pellets and C.O.B. Next we need horse blankets. If you have a waterproof blanket that you are not using, or you feel like purchasing one you can mail them to the mailing address on this website. It's easier for a horse to keep up to weight with a blanket on when it's cold and rainy out there. Please keep the horses in mind this holiday season. I can't afford to do all this all by myself and need your help. Even if you only donate $5, it will help. Please share this website with as many people as you can.

Hi everyone. Sorry it's been such a long time since I've updated the website, or posted on here. A lot has been happening. I've been moving horses, cleaning up a new property. Moving old wire fencing and junk off the property. Continually making hay runs, to buy more hay. The donations are not coming in quick enough to feed all the rescues. Therefore, I'm currently in the process adopting some of the horses out to new forever homes.
Maalie is available, a white Arabian mare, middle aged, registered.
Porcelina is also available, white Arabian mare, trained to ride and an excellent Pure Spanish Arabian Brood Mare.
El Professoria is also available. He's a Pure Spanish Arabian Stallion. Trained to ride, great with kids. Easy to handle and breed.
Donations are always needed in supporting these horses. Alfalfa right now is at $10/bale for me, and grass hay is $6/bale. I go through 2 bales of alfalfa a day and 1 bale of grass hay a day. So, yes donations are needed. I also need salt blocks, dewormers, and money for vaccinations. If you could just donate a little it would mean a lot. If you don't donate it all comes out of my pocket. That's scary for me due to the shape of the economy and the fact that I am also supporting my private life, my kids.
I appreciate you reading this and hope you can help. Maybe do a bake sale at your church or in your neighborhood to raise money to help this rescue. Thanks for your consideration.

Great news! I've updated my website and now donations can be accepted. There was a technical difficulty, so those of you who may have tried to donate in the past and found it unsuccessful, sorry for the delay. Now your donations will be used for feed and care of these wonderful animals.

You can also donate by mailing supplies like dewormers ordered online, or vaccinations ordered online, you can always have supplies mailed to the mailing address for the rescue.

Other great news, the price of alfalfa cubes has gone down. YAY!!!! I was able to fill the feed trailer to the brim today. Hurray for the horses.

As you all know, horses need feed. Right now I need to raise funds for feed. So, if you have anything, $2, $5, or more, anything will help. It all ads up in the end. Easier for many people to give a little, than for only 1 person, me, to give everything. So please help. You can use the mailing address to mail checks or money orders, or you can contact me to find another way to donate. You can also use paypal to donate money to the rescue, for the feed or for other reasons, such as veterinary care, or hoof care, or nutritional supplements. The rescue currently has 19 horses and needs help with fundraising, and getting the word out that we exist. This is a fairly new rescue. I've been doing this for years and this year I've put a name on my rescue and started asking for help.

The horse rescue is successfully moved to the new location. Although the stress of moving is over, this is a temporary location. This year we will be focusing on paperwork and grant information in order to secure a permanent location.

Most of the horses loaded in the horse trailers without a problem. The last 2 had problems loading. But after much patience and diligence the hardest one went in. I tied her rope to the inside of the trailer and every time she made a little slack on the rope I'd tighten the rope. Being careful not to get my fingers involved in any kind of knot or loop as I tightened the rope. The first rope was cotton with a heavy duty clasp, so when she argued with the rope, she broke it. Then I got out my nylon long rope with a heavy clasp and it worked. she tried to fight it, but she was not fighting me, she was fighting herself, and in the end, she went in and I undid the rope and let her go in and out freely several times. Hopefully next time she has to trailer she'll be happier about it. Just thought I'd share the experience.

All the horses are shedding now, and most are muddy from rolling in their new pastures while the ground was wet. The white horse were nicely groomed, manes brushed out and shiny when we got them to the new location, now they have mud balls in their manes and are so brown and white they look more like paint horses. LOL...

Howdy Folks,
It's been awhile since I've updated. The rescue is moving to a new location. Not just the horses from the rescue, but horses that were not part of the rescue are also being forced to move off the property. Which means that there are horses there that need homes asap. If you are interested in adopting a horse please contact me.

If you want to volunteer to help move equipment, or help build new pastures and pens for the rescue at the new location, please let me know. If you want to donate equipment, like non-barbed wire rolls, non-climb wire rolls, hot wire rolls, hot wire solar panel boxes, empty barrels for water, automatic waterers, gates, boards, plywood, rubber mats, gravel, sand, shelters, feeders for horses, pipe panels for fencing, halters, or other tack or horse supplies Please let me know asap. We need donations.

The horses are doing well. They need grooms. Please come visit and prepare to be covered in lovely horse hair. It's fun. They could use baths, manes combed out, winter coats brushed out. I'll take your picture covered in horse fun!

Happy New Year Everyone.

The horses at the rescue are doing much better. All looking good. Me on the other hand, not so much. I have a broken hand and it's much harder to do everything the horses need with a broken hand. So, if you'ld like to come out to volunteer some help it would be greatly appreciated.

There are feeding and watering chores to be done.
Brushing coats and cleaning hooves,
lunging in a round pen to exercise the horses and learning the join up process,
brushing out knotted manes,
Please contact me and come help out and enjoy time spent with wonderful horses.

Donations are desperately needed to buy feed for the horses. Please help and also spread the word. I'm hoping to raise $600 in 2 days.

Today was a busy day, as usual. The horses are all getting thick winter coats now. Ready for the cold nights. Only a couple of them don't grow enough of a winter coat. So, donations for winter coats would be great. We only need 1 large coat of 81inches. The other coats at 72 inches would be fantastic. Is it possible to write my Christmas wish list for horses needs only? My birthday present from family was $200. What did I use it for you ask? HORSE FEED. Pellets gallore! Now the horses look great. Thanks family for the gift.

Today Mikoto has a bandage on her leg. She got an injury while in pasture. A cut on her leg. I put lots of furazone to disinfect it and bring down the swelling by sweating the leg. Wrapped it up with a bandage. I'll check it tomorrow to see if it's any better. It was the same leg that she has an old injury on that is over run by proud flesh. So hard to heal injuries with proud flesh. Maybe the new injury will work as a catalyst to finally get the old injury to heal. With the small amount of time I have each day to be at the ranch and care for the horses, I will do the best I can to tend to this. If any of you want to volunteer to help do work at the ranch please let me know.

The fog has been very thick at the rescue. The ground is wet and won't dry. Volunteers are needed to help clean stalls and paddocks. Donations of rock and cement are needed to improve the ground is some of the stalls. Volunteers are also needed to help with grooming the horses. If you are interested please email me.

Some of the horses need to put on more weight and need sponsors to help get them supplements for weight gaining. Some of the horses pictures and descriptions have been added to the website tonight, and I hope you enjoy getting to see who it is you will be helping with your donations. We are really in need of some quick sponsorships and financial donations to get hay for the month of December. We will need to raise about $1000 to feed all the rescue horses substantially. Whatever you can contribute will be much appreciated. All we need is 100 people to contribute $10 each. So, donate your $10 and get a few friends to donate as well, and pass the word on.
