![]() | Blackie came from Colorado. He was waiting at a feedlot to be sent to slaughter for human consumption in other countries. A woman rescuing horses in Colorado had put 20 horses on her website that were slaughter bound. She posted the fee for saving them. I could not pass this little guy up. He was only 6 months old and a Percheron. Nobody else was putting up the money for him and his friend, so I did at the last moment. His friend was rescued by the combined efforts of a woman here in CA, and the primary rescuing woman in CO. At least 10 horses made it to CA safely with that rescue effort. Blackie is now named Maximus Black, and is a very large dapple gray beauty. |
![]() | Bonnie is a beautiful 8 year old mare. She has not been trained to ride, but we are doing ground work with natural horsemanship working towards riding. She's half Arabian for sure, and half Quarter horse or Thoroughbred. She loves to jump over things and is good at it. Has not been taught or asked to jump, she just does it all on her own. She loves hugs and will put her head on your shoulder. She needs a home where she will receive great training in a natural horsemanship style. Hopefully she will make a great show horse someday, as well as go on trail rides. She is available for adoption $400 |
![]() | This is Anna. She is a purebred arabian bay mare who was let go of by her owner for unknown reasons. She came to me with her daughter, Bonnie. The man I got these 2 horses from said the owner had said to him, "Just get them outta here!" He didn't send her papers or even a name with her. She's had a hard time bonding with me, but now she knows she is loved. She loves the kids and the attention we give her. She's about 18 years old. |
![]() | Pichet is a beautiful ex-race horse. His knee was fractured badly while in the racing gate, during his second race. He may need surgery on his knee, but it's hard to say, because the injury happened about 2 years ago. X-ray is a place to start. Donate to help with his care. |
This is Baby Girl. She was neglected by her previous owner. She has had a hard life. Tormented and chased through a fence. She has scars on her body and is missing an eye from her past treatment. She now has the freedom to feel loved and free. Safe fencing, and no tormenting. A Sponsorship would be very helpful in caring for this little gal. $65/month. |
